SWIMMING POOLS.
An old swimming pool can appear as a liability to some properties but if you have an old pool of concrete construction, you may very well have a real gem. They really do scrub up well and so long as they are structurally sound are an astounding windfall when restored. To construct a solid concrete pool is a very specialised exercise and a logistical nightmare. The sheer amount of soil etc that has to be excavated stored or dumped is horrendous and a great deal of upheaval. To retrieve all the costs and stress of that original exercise should make sense. To fully mosaic a pool and renew all the various gullies and outlets represent a small percentage of what a new pool would cost and for arguments sake you may spend twenty thousand on that and end up with a pool that would cost over a hundred thousand.
We have done quite a few of these now and the effect is absolutely astonishing every time.
