S & M TAYLOR TILING SPECIALISTS

NO PRINTED PATTERNS OR  DECORS

A very simple way to introduce some colour and create another shade of interest to a kitchen where the tiles just need to be plain.

We cut the triangular border out of the red base tile to create the panel and the border that ran all round the granite upstand

and for finishing the top course.

DIAGONAL TILING IN KITCHENS

These are two largish kitchens Matthew fixed in a newbuild development by Simon Patience homes Ltd.

This kitchen is fixed as normal

And this one one fixed diagonally.

It looks so much more fitted when fixed like this.

No patterns necessary here, the tiler's art has added all the interest required to set off the size and style of the kitchen.

The drawback with diagonal tiling is that it looks okay in a large kitchen like this one, but in a smaller kitchen there aren't the areas to show it off properly and it can look too fiddley and a bit of a mess. The other consideration is that it costs a lot more to fix tiles on the diagonal
